MeRT is an innovative treatment based on transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) technology in conjunction with a quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) and an electrocardiogram (ECG) that allows brain communication to be restored in patients with neuroatypical functions.

MeRT, the acronym for Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy, is a technology developed in the United States that is used as a treatment for neurological and psychiatric conditions such as autism, depression, anxiety and attention deficit.

It is a non-invasive and painless alternative that aims to restore the brain’s functionality without the use of medication.

The process begins with a quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG), which records and analyzes brain activity, the pattern of functioning and the state of neuronal synchronization. Based on the results obtained, our medical team designs a personalized treatment protocol with the aim of stimulating the different areas of the brain that can be enhanced, promoting effective brain communication and a better quality of life.

The Process

“5 steps to a personalized experience”.

Step #1

Medical consultation

During the consultation, the doctor explains to the patient how brain waves work and how MeRT therapy works. In addition, a clinical history is taken to find out the patient’s medical history.

Step #2

performing a q-EEG

With his eyes closed, the technician performs a quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) and an electrocardiogram (ECG) to measure the electrical activity of the brain, the heart and the relationship between the two.

Step #3

Our team of experts will analyze the results to gain an in-depth understanding of how the brain works, designing an appropriate and individualized protocol for each patient with our patented approach.

Step #4

The patient sits comfortably and the specialist technician, following the individualized protocol, will non-invasively and painlessly stimulate the desired region of the brain by placing the magnetic coil on the patient’s head for approximately 30 – 45 minutes. The technician in charge performs the stimulation for 6 – 8 seconds per minute.

Step #5

Every 10 MeRT sessions, we performed qEEG and ECG again to monitor progress and modify the protocol if necessary. The attending doctor meets with the patient to give them a qEEG report and monitor any clinical changes they are showing. The duration of treatment will depend on the patient, but you will need to undergo treatment for at least 4 weeks.
